Perhaps by reading this article you will find that it is an insight not only into who I am, but also allow a glimpse as to what the book is all about.
As I was writing this book on additives there were a few major personal philosophies that I constantly kept in mind and which helped to shape the end result.
I think it's really important to make informed decisions - especially when we're talking about our health.
We eat every day, right? So what could be more important than paying attention to what we're eating (or giving our family)?
I believe that people are different, we all have our own circumstances - and "the one size fits all" mentality doesn't always cut it.
When it comes to additives, one may be problematic for a certain person but not so for another (others are just downright best avoided by everyone)
I also turned the KISS rule (Keep It Simple, Stupid) into my own personal mantra.
I wanted to help people understand Food Additives without them requiring chemistry degrees or other advanced knowledge. And I wanted the information to be really easy to find.
Helpful, useful, practical - BUT NOT BORING!
And so apart from an abundance of tips, shopping lists and down to earth information on every additive in use in the USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, I also made sure to add lots of trivia at the bottom of most pages. I know that if they're half as interesting to read as they were to write - they're gonna be a hit!
These were the things on my mind when writing it. What's important to you? What are your thoughts on this book? I'd love to hear.
